Wall tiles in Kolkata: designer ceramic tiles from Morbi

Kolkata's old houses have patterned floors, carved facades and courtyards; its new towers in New Town, Rajarhat and along EM Bypass are finished to a high standard; and its cafes, boutiques and restaurants in Park Street, Ballygunge and Hindustan Park want walls with personality. Few Indian cities read design the way Kolkata does.

Axoli Tiles supplies Kolkata and Howrah from Morbi in six to seven days by road, through tile dealers across the city and directly to architects, builders and hospitality projects.

Designs that suit Kolkata

Encaustic and Moroccan patterns, which belong in a Kolkata house, for floors, bathrooms and cafe walls; marble and botanical looks for living rooms; glazed, wipe-clean tiles for kitchens and bathrooms in a climate that never fully dries; and devotional designs for the thakur ghar.
