Wall tiles for architects and interior designers: specifications, samples and supply
Everything an architect or interior designer needs to specify an Axoli tile: technical data per size, how the sets work, how to show a client the design, samples, quantities and supply in India or abroad.
Axoli Tiles makes digitally printed ceramic wall tiles in Morbi, Gujarat, India's largest tile manufacturing cluster. The range is built around design: stone and slate looks, terracotta, encaustic and Moroccan patterns, botanical prints, geometric layouts and devotional designs, many of them in sets of base, decor and highlighter tiles that are made to be used together.
This page collects what a specifier needs in one place. Every product page also lists its own technical details, its finishes and the room renders it was designed for.
What we make
- Body: ceramic, digitally printed and fired.
- Sizes: 300 × 300 mm (12 × 12 in), 300 × 450 mm (12 × 18 in) and 300 × 600 mm (12 × 24 in).
- Finishes: matt, glossy and rustic. Most designs are matt.
- Sets: many designs come as a family: a plain or lightly patterned base, one or more decors, and pieces to make a panel. Product pages show them side by side.
- Faces: most designs have several faces, printed from different parts of the artwork, so a wall does not repeat tile by tile.
Technical data by size
From our showroom specifications, which each product page repeats for its own sizes:
| Size | Thickness | Pieces per box | Coverage per box | Weight per box | Made for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 300 × 300 mm | 9.5 mm | 7 | 7 sq ft (0.63 m²) | 10 kg | Floors and walls |
| 300 × 450 mm | 7.5 mm | 5 | 7.5 sq ft (0.68 m²) | 8.5 kg | Walls |
| 300 × 600 mm | 9.5 mm | 4 | 8 sq ft (0.72 m²) | 11.5 kg | Walls and elevations |
- Breaking strength: 150 to 180 kg/cm².
- Packing: laminated rain-proof boxes, 5 ply plus 1 firm ply, with paper between pieces in the higher ranges.
- Weight on the wall: about 12 to 16 kg per square metre, against roughly 50 kg for a 20 mm natural stone veneer. That matters on upper floors, on lightweight partitions and on high elevations.
Choosing by look
Designers usually start from a look rather than a collection. Our guides cover each family with the designs side by side:
- Encaustic and cement look tiles: patterned tiles for kitchens, bathrooms, cafes and floors.
- Terracotta tiles: warm clay tones, herringbone and strip looks.
- Botanical and floral wall tiles: leaves, ferns, palms and flowers.
- Herringbone, hexagon and geometric tiles: printed layouts with the fixing time of a rectangular tile.
- Stone, brick, marble and mosaic looks and elevation and stone cladding tiles.
- Pooja room tiles: Om, Ganesh and Ram designs for mandir and temple walls.
Showing the design to a client
Each product page has room renders, the tile faces, and for many designs a concept room that shows the whole set laid out, with the designs it is paired with. Where a design has a page in our presentation catalogue, the product page opens it with See it in the catalogue. Send the product link to a client: the page works on a phone and lists the sizes and finishes.
Samples
Use Request a sample on any product page. Mention the project and the room, so our team can send the right design and size.
Quantities and the quotation
Each product page has a calculator: enter the wall or floor area and it works out the boxes, adding 10% for cuts. Add designs to the quotation list as you go, and send the whole list at once for a single quotation covering every room.
Supply in India and abroad
We supply dealers, builders and projects across India from Morbi, and we export to any country. Tell us the destination, the quantities and the timeline, and our team will confirm availability, packing and dispatch.
