Wall tiles in Gujarat, straight from the factory in Morbi

Morbi makes most of India's ceramic tiles, and Axoli Tiles is one of its factories. For buyers in Gujarat that means the shortest supply line in the country: an order placed in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara or Rajkot is loaded in Morbi and on the road the same or the next day, and anyone planning a large project can drive to the showroom and see every design laid out, in every size.

Gujarat builds a lot and builds fast. Apartment towers along SG Highway and in Surat's new sectors, bungalows in Rajkot and Vadodara, farmhouses outside Ahmedabad, and the temples and community halls that every town keeps adding. Tile dealers here know Morbi well; what they come to us for is a design range that the big factories do not make, printed on a ceramic body they can trust.

Designs that suit Gujarat

Gujarati homes use wall tiles generously: kitchens tiled to the ceiling, bathrooms, the elevation of a bungalow, the boundary wall, and the pooja room. Stone and brick looks suit the hot, dusty inland light; glossy whites and patterns keep kitchens bright; and the devotional designs sell in every town, from Ahmedabad apartments to village homes.
